If you think you might not be

your possibilities with this one night class. We will look at our strengths, interests, motivations, and other factors that
may help us see how we may be meant to go a new direction in our life.
Hot Stone Therapy (8 CE hours)
The training includes use of stones
for therapeutic purposes in a professional massage therapy practice and spa setting. Thermotherapy, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular
and Positional Therapy techniques are included with the training. Proper care of the stones, important safety features,
benefits, and contraindications are presented. Participants will give and receive a 1.5 hour hot stone therapy massage session with
individualized valuable feedback from instructors. In addition to sheets, towels, and pillows, each therapist should bring one apron
with a pocket, and a pump bottle with massage oil; a meat thermometer, and a heavy metal large spoon. You may order a complete
customized professional stones set in advance or at the time of the class. Stones provided for training in workshop.
Massage
For Couples and Friends (Wellness Education – Open to the general public)
Learn to relieve neck and shoulder tension that can lead to headaches, as well as two techniques to ease low back pain.
You must register with a friend or your spouse, and both be willing to receive and give. You will learn how to give massage
without causing stress to your own body. Please dress comfortably, relaxed-fit clothing (sweats are ideal; no tight-fitting
jeans or "revealing" anything please); bring a fitted and a flat sheet (any size), pillow case, 2 large pillows, 2 bath size towels,
2 hand-size towels, and waterless hand sanitizer.
Sports Massage (18 CE hours)
Saturdays- March 14, 28, and
Saturdays- March 13, 27, and
Participants will learn theory and practice of sports massage for event performance, training enhancement, and recovery from injury. It also will allow therapists practice in AI and PNF Stretching. Work with specific sports-related injuries will be demonstrated,
followed by supervised practice. At least 90% attendance and completion of assessments required to receive Certification. CEU contact hours certificate of participation only awarded with assessment completion.
All-Natural (and effective) Help
for Headaches (Wellness Education – Open to the general public)
If you are concerned about the damaging effects of over-the-counter medicines
and prescriptions (kidney and liver damage, gallstones, stomach ulcers, etc.), but you suffer with frequent and/or severe headaches,
this class will give you some effective alternatives. We will consider causes that range from stress to hormone imbalances
to work and lifestyle habits. Workshop includes a gift certificate for massage therapy.
National Certification Exam

This review is for any massage therapist planning on taking the national certification exam. Course will review the content areas
of the NCTMBE: Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Pathology, Theory, Assessment, and Application, and Professional Standards,
Ethics, and Business Practices. Practice questions and study packet included. (Linens are not needed.)

Participants will be introduced to using safe, effective massage therapy for clients with cancer. Discussion topics include
indications of massage for cancer patients, interview considerations and decision-making for working safely, massage adaptations for
common cancer treatments, and emotional/mental preparation. Hands-on approaches will be demonstrated and practiced. Nutrition
as both a causative and preventative factor will be included in the discussion.

The MLD course, which was designed by a Licensed Physical
Therapist, will provide the massage therapist with an understanding of the principles and techniques in manual lymph drainage based
on the Vodder technique. You will have extensive hands-on practice in applying MLD, including theory and lab work related to
the anatomy of the lymph system. At least 80% attendance, and 70% score on practical and written assessments are required to
receive certification. (“Re-take” assessments are available, but thorough, student-centered instruction has made this
to be rarely necessary; ).
Expanding Your Horizons – Marketing and Public Relations for Massage Therapists (4 CE
hours)
Thur.
Being successful in the business world need not be in conflict with one’s values or budget. Learn how you can improve in
areas that serve the best interests of both your clients and the community, as well as improve your professionalism. Getting
the word out does not have to cost a lot of money. If your clientele doesn’t seem to be growing as fast as you would like, this
4 hour course is for you.

Learn treatments that are an excellent way for clients to de-stress body and mind, adding unique services to your professional
practice. Instruction is included for rejuvenating and firming body treatments, warm and relaxing treatments, as well as treatments
that extract pore-clogging impurities and richly hydrate the skin. Student will gain confidence in specific hand movements,
sequences, draping techniques, and product options for exfoliation, detoxification, and other dry spa body treatments. Precautions
and contraindications as well as indications or benefits of spa treatments as evidenced by research are included. Training is open
to massage therapists, cosmetologists and estheticians. Participants give and receive several dry spa treatments during supervised
practice, so you’ll be confident to incorporate them into your practice, salon, or day spa.
Pet (Canine) Massage (4
CE hours) (Wellness Education - Open to the General Public)
Both therapists and pet lovers in the community are invited to learn the basic anatomy
of dogs, and basic massage techniques used to help calm and relax our “special friends.” Learn about the other benefits massage
has for our pets as well. (Sheets, towels, and pillows are not needed for this workshop, however each participant should either their
pet cat or dog.)
CPR Certification (4 CE hours) (Wellness Education - Open to the General Public)

Information will be presented to therapists about the benefits and precautions of massage during and after pregnancy. Special adaptations,
use of pillows, and/or the PregoT and/or body pillows for support positioning will be introduced. The three basic stages of pregnancy
and basic massage techniques will be taught to help support a woman during labor. In addition to sheets, towels, and pillow, each
therapist should bring at least 3 additional standard sized pillows or 2 body size pillows.
