principles of practice are included in this primarily hands-on course.

modality option Student's palpation skills will be further developed in review, and continuing practice in application of Swedish,neuromuscular and myofascial techniques Special emphasis is placed on fine-tuning the student's observation and listening skills in
the discussion of and application of massage for specific chronic pain and orthopedic conditions.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE V Semester III Massage therapy modality useful in a hospital or physical therapy setting. Students will
have extensive hands-on practice.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE VII Semester II or III Students will be introduced to traditional Eastern Medicine.
MASSAGE
& PATHOLOGY Semester III The purpose of this course is for massage therapy students to examine how disease and other disorders
affect the way clients function. The course will provide the student with essential information to determine if massage is appropriate
or if precautions and/or contraindications are present.
CPR/FIRST AID II or IIIWELLNESS I An opportunity to reflect intellectually
and personally in developing one's own personal spiritual worldview and healing. Psychological issues related to touch are also introduced.
WELLNESS
II Semester I Learn and practice principles of wellness to build strength, endurance and confidence, as well as prevent injuries common
to massage therapists.
BUSINESS & ETHICS Semester II Become competent in effective public relations, communication, marketing
strategies and developing a business plan. Introduction to income/expense recording procedures and tax issues.
